THE INAUGURAL FOUNDER'S CIRCLE

The Yiddishkayt Founder’s Circle is a distinguished group of leadership donors
(bal-tsdokes) and institutions committed to ensuring the survival of the rich thousand-year legacy of Yiddish language, culture and history in the 21st century, and beyond.

With an annual gift of $1,000 or more in support of Yiddishkayt’s general operations or specific programs, you will be honoring the greater historical community: the generations of Ashkenazi Jews who, for a millennium, lived, created and loved in Yiddish. 

Please consider the different levels of giving below in varying shades of purple.  Gifts may be given annually or monthly. Purple is the color we have chosen to represent Yiddishkayt for its noble and durable qualities. The color also holds a special place in nature as the color of precious flowers like the lilac, orchid and violet.  When you become part of the Founder’s Circle, you acknowledge the nobility, preciousness and durability of our Yiddish heritage.


FOUNDER'S CIRCLE LEVELS

Lilac Level $1,000-$2,499/Year ($100-$208/Month)

Fund one small cultural event like a concert or lecture.

Plum Level $2,500-$4,999/Year ($209-$416/Month)

Help fund the development of a Yiddish elementary school textbook.

Orchid Level  $5,000-$9,999/Year ($417-$833/Month)

Help pay the salary for a high school Yiddish teacher.

Violet Level  $10,000+/Year ($834+/Month)

Underwrite a large event or entire program.


All levels include:

  • Invitations to special events
  • Quarterly updates from our Founder
  • Recognition in our annual report, printed materials and website
  • Special gifts and surprise packages twice a year

Orchid and Violet Levels also include:

  • Naming opportunities for programs of your choice
  • A feature story about you in our bi-monthly e-newsletter “Yidbits”
